BUT WE STILL CAN’T NAVIGATE IN OUR VARIOUS SOUTH AFRICAN MOTHER LANGUAGES... UNTIL NOW
The first turn-by-turn voice assist that gives out warnings, like only a Zulu can. Because when a Zulu says ‘Qaphela ingozi’ (warning), you are likely to redirect your attention and listen. And for non Zulu speaking citizens, we also developed a local slang version that uses terms South Africans can recognise and relate to when navigating on Waze.
The language uses a unique brand of African onomatopoeia, so you can hear the danger inside every word.

More local languages will be introduced soon but at least language is one less obstacle to navigate on our local roads.
